The CLEAR Africa Convention was held in Accra, the capital city of Ghana. On the first day of the event, the “Preliminary Meeting for Lusophone Africa Monitoring & Evaluation Capacity Development” was held, the activity marked the first M&E meeting of the Lusophone countries. With the support of Brazil and Portugal, Lusophone African countries (Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique and Sao Tome and Principe) discussed the main challenges and objectives in the area of monitoring and evaluation in the region, with a view to formulating a common strategy for the dissemination of M&E knowledge and capabilities in the region.
On the second and third day of the CLEAR Africa Convention, the “Planning Workshop to Develop a Harmonized Approach to Strengthening Assessment Capacity for CLEAR in Africa” was held, with the aim of developing an integrated approach that understands African regional differences. , aimed at setting up actions to stimulate evaluation capacity across the continent, further implemented by the three CLEAR Centers, in partnership with AfrEA (African Evaluation Association).
