“Evidence-Based Public Policies: How to ensure public managers have what they need?”

The roundtable “Evidence-Based Public Policies: How to ensure public managers have what they need?”, organized by FGV/EESP Clear in partnership with Insper and the Ayrton Senna Institute, takes place on June 7th as part of the 2017 Evaluation Week in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Given the central role played by theories and hipotheses in connecting evidences to the development of public policies, public managers are recommended familiarize themselves with those which connect originally available evidences to the evidence they actually need. At the same time, researchers wishing to develop science to be used in public policy making are recommended to showcase the limitations of found evidences and drawn conclusions, apart from showing all hipotheses and theories underlying such conclusions. The event discusses the use and production of evidence taking such dynamics into account.
